Incoherency Manifest: The Curious Case of the Twitter Transsexuals

Grifting on Chasers

2024 marks an unprecedented fight from conservatives and reactionaries on the status of rights of transgender people across America, Canada and further abroad. It is a surprise as a result that this past week online has seen people pretending to be trans in search of internet clout and poorly at that. An important preface is needed in that I do not speak of a person ‘pretending’ to be trans akin to high school drama written for a terrible day time TV show, accusing one a trans just be ‘pretending’ because it would somehow be convenient or popular, but instead pretending in a manner that is neither authentic or positive for the image of transgender people.

On August 28th, two Twitter users (@sillylilyts and @alextsgirl) uploaded tweets showcase a collaboration together in an attempt to promote their Onlyfans pages. While on a surface level this is nothing out of the ordinary for the slowly dying and rotting site of X, the everything app, with a generic tweet promoting valid sex work, what does make it of note is that despite both of their usernames and bios make it out to seem, neither of these girls are infact trans. For the less queer readers, the flag that you can see in the photos below this paragraph is that of the transgender community and both users have a variation of the term “tgirl”, internet produced slang for a trans woman with the biggest and most identifiable trans piece of the puzzle being the fact one of them is called “Lily” one of the most common trans girl names for better or for worse.

But how do we know they’re not trans, enough to say that this is the case so distinctly? There is one almost singular factor. The fact that in a video one of them posted, it is plain as day that both of them have clearly fake dicks in their nightwear. One is very obviously wearing a packer, a type of gender affirming kit for trans men that resembles a flaccid penis and fits into your pants for day-to-day wear. The other has an unrealistically firm outline in their night gown and the absolute proof of fake and ill intent, is the fact that this firm outline has every clear, flared and suction base, showing. This means that without doubt, both girls are not infact transgender women, but cis (non-transitioning) women.

The two main Twitter villains of the week.

The primary, and most transphobic of the duo.

It is truly unclear to seemingly everyone, myself included, if these two girls truly thought that they could start up an Onlyfans career and fool enough people into making a living (evident by the fact it seems that according to several users, subscribing to their pages reveals no nude photos or any content existing already beyond their Twitter pages. But was clear was how quickly genuine trans, queer and other members of the realm of LeftTwt were able to clue into this falsehood. Almost immediately. Equally quick, people made it clear how obviously fucked up this is. Many people, who are both popular within the sphere of LeftTwt and are also sex workers were clear to point this out to more and more people, causing the original two posters to continue to double down in later days as the posts trended for several days end on end as petty discourse begin to take hold between trans people and reactionary conservatives flooding into the replies and quote tweets to respond with support for the fakers and to continue being “stunning and brave” (as one user put it) against the evils of the scary left.

But why? Why go through this trouble of jumping fully into the Fox News adjacent right-wing weirdism in pretending to be a trans sexworker instead of being your own self and a cis sex worker? There lies a two-fold answer. On one hand the obvious answer is the grift. Every right-wing influencer in any slight capacity is a grifter in the most extreme sense, my favourite such example being Kyle Rittenhouse in his time in the long months since coming into fame and the public spotlight and as a result being a spokesperson for, of all things, really shitty “American” steak salts. Either of these girls could have expected to make money in either the pursuit of naïve people trying to find out if they are trans, or truly speaking out the trans NSFW content itself, or the pursuit of supportive subscriptions from the right-wing voting block, who would find themselves donating as that in some sense to their rotted brains, makes the libs go crazy. Even since the 28th of last month when these girls posted, and even from when I started writing this article, they’ve continued posting, using transphobic rhetoric increasingly in their advertising where the most damning example at least in my opinion is the text accompanying one more recent post reading “I’m just a totally terrific dude”. It’s worrying that these girls continue to use, in an essence, the brand of trans people to make money solely off the suffering of the increasingly oppressed. These two women, who are at risk of losing their own rights increasingly (reproductive rights and others), do not have to worry about being called a danger to children and society.

Plus side, these two look like fucking clowns and I’m pointing and laughing. Good god this is grim.
